George Beban

American stage and film actor, born in 1873. A vaudeville and Broadway performer of Italian-American roles, he brought those characters to the screen in features produced by Thomas H. Ince, most notably The Italian (1915), which was selected for the National Film Registry. He continued making immigrant- themed films through the late 1910s. He died in 1918.
