F. Richard Jones

American film director and producer, born in 1893. He began directing comedy shorts at Keystone and rose through the silent industry as a director and production executive. He directed Douglas Fairbanks in The Gaucho (1927) and later became a producer at MGM. He died in 1930 at the age of 36.
