Eugene Pallette

American actor, born in 1889. He appeared in The Benson Murder Case (1930) as Sgt. Ernest Heath. One of the most recognizable character actors of the 1930s and 1940s, known for his barrel-chested physique and distinctive raspy voice. He appeared in The Adventures of Robin Hood (1938), My Man Godfrey (1936), and Mr. Smith Goes to Washington (1939). He died in 1946.
