Ernest B. Schoedsack

American film director and cinematographer (1893-1979) best known for co-directing King Kong (1933) with Merian C. Cooper. He co-directed The Most Dangerous Game (1932) with Irving Pichel and directed Mighty Joe Young (1949). Schoedsack began his career as a combat cameraman in World War I and traveled to exotic locations filming documentaries before moving to narrative features.
