Eddie 'Rochester' Anderson

American comedian and actor, born 1905. Best known as Eddie "Rochester" Anderson, Jack Benny's valet on The Jack Benny Program, a role he played on radio and television for over 30 years. He was one of the first African American performers to have a regular role on a network television series. He died in 1977.
