Romanian-born American actor best known for playing the Cisco Kid in the 1950-1956 television series and in a series of films. Born Vasile Dumitru Renaudo in 1904, he immigrated to the United States and began acting in Hollywood in the 1930s. He played the Cisco Kid in over 150 television episodes and several films, creating a portrayal of the character as a charming, gallant Mexican hero who righted wrongs along the border. His Cisco Kid rode a horse named Diablo and traveled with his comic sidekick Pancho, played by Leo Carrillo.
