Dan Blocker

American actor, born 1928. Best known for playing Hoss Cartwright, the gentle giant middle son on Bonanza (1959-1972). His imposing stature and warm demeanor made Hoss one of the most beloved characters in Western television. He died in 1972 during the show's run.
