Conrad Nagel

American actor, born in 1897. A leading man of the silent era who made the transition to sound, he served as a host of The Hollywood Revue of 1929 and appeared in The Broadway Melody the same year. His singing voice in the Revue was dubbed by Charles King. He worked steadily in film, radio, and television through the 1950s.
