Chuck Jones

American animator, director, and producer, born 1912. One of the most celebrated directors of Warner Bros. cartoons, he created or refined many of the studio's most iconic characters, including the Road Runner, Wile E. Coyote, Pepe Le Pew, and Marvin the Martian. He directed hundreds of Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies shorts, as well as government-commissioned films like A Hitch in Time (1955) and 90 Day Wondering (1956). He died in 2002.
