Christy Cabanne

American film director and screenwriter, born in 1888. A prolific director from the early silent era through the 1940s, he began as an actor with D.W. Griffith before turning to directing. His films include Conspiracy (1930) and dozens of B-westerns and serials. He was known for his efficiency and ability to work across genres. He died in 1950.
