Charles Bowers

American cartoonist, animator, and filmmaker. He directed and animated the Mutt and Jeff series for Bud Fisher Films Corporation in the 1910s and 1920s, producing over 300 short films. Bowers was known for his inventive animation techniques and surreal humor. He later joined Walter Lantz Productions as a storyman in the 1930s.
