B.P. Schulberg

American film producer (1892-1957) who was a major figure in the independent film distribution and production world of the 1920s. He founded Preferred Pictures and later B.P. Schulberg Productions, producing films including Shadows (1922) starring Lon Chaney. He later became head of production at Paramount Pictures.
