Betty Balfour

British film actress, born in 1903. She was the most popular British screen actress of the 1920s, known for the chirpy "Squibs" comedy series. She starred in Alfred Hitchcock's Champagne (1928) and a number of other British productions. Her career did not survive the move into sound as successfully as it had thrived in the silent era.
