Bert Wheeler

American film comedian (1895-1968) who formed the popular comedy duo Wheeler & Woolsey with Robert Woolsey. They starred in a series of RKO comedies in the 1930s beginning with Dixiana (1930) and including Half Shot at Sunrise (1930) and Hook, Line and Sinker (1930). Wheeler was the singing, romantic half of the duo.
