Bert Lytell

American actor, born in 1885. He was a leading man in silent films, known for playing dashing, adventurous heroes. He appeared in Lady Windermere's Fan (1925) opposite Ronald Colman and starred in a series of mystery films as the character Boston Blackie. He continued acting into the sound era and later became president of the Screen Actors Guild.
