Ben Lyon

American actor, born in 1901. He began as a juvenile lead in silent films and moved smoothly into talkies, playing the male lead opposite Jean Harlow in Hell's Angels (1930). He worked steadily through the 1930s before moving to Britain, where he became a popular radio and television personality and helped discover Marilyn Monroe. He died in 1979.
