Babe Ruth

American baseball player, born 1895 as George Herman Ruth Jr. One of the greatest players in the history of the sport, he revolutionized the game with his home-run hitting and became a national icon. He starred as himself in the silent film Heading Home (1920) at the height of his early fame. He died in 1948.
