Astrid Holm

Danish actress, born in 1893. She was a leading actress in Danish silent cinema, best known for her role as Ida, the long-suffering wife, in Carl Theodor Dreyer's Master of the House (1925). Her performance in that film is the one most remembered by international audiences. She also had a significant stage career with the Royal Danish Theatre.
