Albert Parker

American film director, born in 1885. He began as an actor before moving to directing in the 1910s and made a string of silent features through the 1920s. His best-remembered film is The Black Pirate (1926), the Douglas Fairbanks two-strip Technicolor adventure. He later moved into film distribution and exhibition. He died in 1974.
