Time Table
A 1956 film noir directed by, produced by, and starring Mark Stevens. After $500,000 is stolen in a meticulously planned train robbery, insurance investigator Charlie Norman (Stevens) is forced to postpone a vacation with his wife to help railroad detective Joe Armstrong (King Calder) track the thieves. The trail leads through Mexico and into a web of compromised alibis — and gradually reveals that the man investigating the crime knows far more about it than he should. Shot in a lean, semi-documentary style with an early supporting turn by Jack Klugman, Time Table is one of the better-regarded B-noirs of the 1950s. The film is in the public domain.
