Ziv was one of the first companies to produce television programming specifically for first-run syndication, bypassing the broadcast networks. The company produced numerous popular series in the 1950s, including Racket Squad, Highway Patrol, and Sea Hunt. Ziv Television was acquired by United Artists in 1960.
