Wrather Corporation was an American media company founded by Jack Wrather and his wife Bonita Granville Wrather in 1947. Best known for acquiring the rights to The Lone Ranger television series, the company also produced several other television shows in the 1950s. Wrather's acquisition of the Lone Ranger rights from George Trendle gave the series a second life in syndication and made the character a lasting icon of American popular culture. The company was eventually acquired by Disney in 1988.
