Walter Reade Organization

American film exhibition and distribution company. The Walter Reade Organization operated a chain of theaters and also distributed films. It distributed Night of the Living Dead (1968). The company's failure to include a copyright notice on the prints is the reason the film entered the public domain immediately upon release.
