US Army Signal Corps

The branch of the United States Army responsible for communications and information technology. During World War II, the Signal Corps commissioned training films for troops, including the Private Snafu cartoon series produced by Leon Schlesinger Productions with writing by Dr. Seuss (Theodor Geisel) and voices by Mel Blanc.
