The Oz Film Manufacturing Company

American film production company founded in 1914 by author L. Frank Baum. Based in Hollywood, it produced silent film adaptations of Baum's Oz stories, including His Majesty, the Scarecrow of Oz (1914) and The Patchwork Girl of Oz. The company was short-lived, folding in 1915 after its films proved unsuccessful with audiences.
