New York Motion Picture Company

American film production company founded in 1909 by Thomas H. Ince and Adam Kessel. It produced a range of shorts and features through subsidiary brands including Broncho, Domino, and Kay-Bee, many of them westerns starring William S. Hart. The company was an early partner in the Triangle Film Corporation before Ince moved on to his own studio. Notable productions include The Italian (1915), which was selected for the National Film Registry.
