Monogram was one of the leading poverty-row studios, producing westerns, comedies, mysteries, and horror films. It was home to the East Side Kids and Bowery Boys series, distributing Spooks Run Wild (1941) and Ghosts on the Loose (1943). The studio reorganized into Allied Artists in 1952 to pursue higher-budget productions.
