Mark VII Limited was the production company founded by Jack Webb in 1951 to produce Dragnet and other television shows. The company's distinctive opening logo, a hand stamping "VII" on a sheet metal plate, became one of the most recognizable signatures in early television. Mark VII produced Dragnet in both its original 1951-1959 run and its 1967-1970 revival, as well as other series including Adam-12 and Emergency. Webb's insistence on documentary realism and technical accuracy set the template for police procedurals that followed.
