Majestic Motion Picture Company

American film production company active from 1912 to 1915, founded by Harry Aitken. Majestic produced many of D.W. Griffith's early features, including The Avenging Conscience (1914) and Judith of Bethulia (1914), before Griffith left to form Triangle Film Corporation. The studio was based in Los Angeles and was one of the early producers of multi-reel dramatic films.
