Film production company that produced Charlie Chaplin's Mutual comedies (1916-1917). Chaplin made twelve two-reel comedies for Mutual under the Lone Star banner, including The Adventurer (1917), The Immigrant (1917), and Easy Street (1917). These shorts are widely considered the finest work of Chaplin's early career and established him as a major filmmaker.
