Short-lived animation studio founded by Walt Disney in Kansas City, Missouri, in 1922. Laugh-O-Gram produced a series of animated fairy-tale shorts and the pilot Alice's Wonderland (1923). The studio went bankrupt in 1923, after which Disney moved to Hollywood and used the Alice series to launch his career. Despite its brief life, Laugh-O-Gram is where Disney first assembled the team and techniques that would define his later work.

The pilot for Walt Disney's Alice Comedies, made at his Laugh-O-Gram studio in Kansas City. A live-action girl, played by Virginia Davis, falls asleep in a cartoonist's studio and dreams herself into an animated Wonderland full of lions, dancing cats, and marching soldiers. The short mixes live-action footage of Davis with hand-drawn backgrounds and characters, a technique Disney would build an entire series around after moving to Hollywood. The film is in the public domain in the United States as a pre-1930 work.
