Independent Television Corporation (ITC)

British television production and distribution company founded by Lew Grade in 1954. ITC financed and distributed many of the most successful British adventure series of the 1950s and 1960s, including The Adventures of Robin Hood, The Buccaneers, The Adventures of Sir Lancelot, and later The Saint and The Prisoner. ITC's model of producing shows in Britain for international syndication helped establish British television as a global export.
