Four Star Productions

American television production company founded in 1952 by actors Dick Powell, Ida Lupino, David Niven, and Charles Boyer. The company produced numerous successful television series including Four Star Playhouse, The Rifleman, Wanted: Dead or Alive, and The Big Valley. Four Star was one of the first production companies created by actors to retain ownership of their television work.
