Films Sonores Tobis

French film production company of the early sound era, associated with the Tobis sound-on-film system. It produced René Clair's Under the Roofs of Paris (1930), the first French sound film to achieve international success, and other early French talkies. The company was part of the Tobis-Klangfilm group, which held European patents on sound-film technology.
