French film production company founded in 1922 in Montreuil by the Russian émigré producers Joseph N. Ermolieff and Alexandre Kamenka as the successor to Ermolieff-Cinéma. After the Bolshevik Revolution, Ermolieff relocated his operation to Paris and gathered a company of Russian émigré filmmakers, including the director Alexandre Volkoff, the star Ivan Mosjoukine, and the cinematographer Nikolai Toporkoff. The studio became one of the most respected production houses of 1920s French cinema, turning out serials like The House of Mystery (1923) and features that helped define the French impressionist style. It ceased production in the early 1930s.
