Douglas Fairbanks Pictures

American independent film production company founded by Douglas Fairbanks to produce his own vehicles. It produced The Mark of Zorro (1920), which turned Fairbanks into the swashbuckling hero of the silent era, and The Thief of Bagdad (1924), his most lavish production. The company's films were released through United Artists, the distributor Fairbanks co-founded with Mary Pickford, Charlie Chaplin, and D.W. Griffith.
