D.W. Griffith Productions

American film production company associated with director D.W. Griffith. Following his departure from the Triangle Film Corporation, Griffith produced his own features through this unit in the late 1910s and early 1920s, including *Broken Blossoms* (1919), *A Romance of Happy Valley* (1919), *Way Down East* (1920), and *Orphans of the Storm* (1921). His films were distributed by Artcraft Pictures and later United Artists, which Griffith co-founded.
