American film production company of the silent era, associated with Famous Players-Lasky and Paramount Pictures. It was used as a production vehicle for several Cecil B. DeMille features in the mid-1910s, including Joan the Woman (1916), DeMille's first historical epic. The unit was short-lived, with its output distributed through Paramount.
