Cannon Films

American film production and distribution company founded by Dennis Friedland and Chris Dewey in the late 1960s. Cannon distributed Silent Night, Bloody Night (1972) and was later acquired by Menahem Golan and Yoram Globus, who transformed it into a major independent studio known for action films in the 1980s.
